Every four years, the Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) reorganizes to elect new leadership at the Precinct, County, and State levels.
This process starts with Precinct and County Conventions, where the Boone County Democratic Party (BCDP) will elect:

Who can participate in Reorganization?

Do I have to register with BCDP to participate?
Yes, registration is required. Registration is open from April 7 to May 1, at 6pm.Â
How does the Reorganization process work?
Reorganization begins with Precinct and County Conventions, which take place on the same day at the same location.
Registered participants meet at the Convention site, and Precinct Conventions are called to order promptly at 2:00 PM, followed immediately by the County Convention.

Precinct Committee Member responsibilities
Registered participants gather with other members of their Precincts to elect those running for the following offices: Precinct Committee Male, Precinct Committee Female, and Precinct Committee Youth (under 40).
Interested Democrats do not have to be in attendance to accept a nomination or be elected to the Committee.
To nominate, or vote for, a candidate for a precinct position, you must be a registered Democrat in that precinct. You must be present to vote.
Each Precinct Committee elects a Chair to ensure duties are carried out.
County Convention: Electing County Party Leadership and State Delegates
County Executive Committee Member responsibilities
Elected Precinct Committee Members nominate and elect 10 women and 10 men to serve a four-year term on the BCDP Executive Committee.
Elected Precinct Committee Members must present to vote. Per KDP Bylaws, no proxy voting is allowed.
Any registered Democrat living in Boone County can be nominated to serve on the County Executive Committee.
At the close of Convention, the newly elected County Executive Committee Members will meet to elect a Chair and Vice Chair.
State Delegate responsibilities
Elected Precinct Committee Members nominate and elect 27 Delegates and 5 Alternates to represent Boone County at the Congressional and State Conventions.
Any Democrat residing and registered to vote within the County may run as a delegate.
