As local Democratic leaders, the County Executive Committee (CEC) is responsible for managing the party's operations within the community.
The CEC is an officially recognized organization that operates according to the bylaws of the Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) and state law. Members of the CEC are elected by precinct committees to carry out campaign and political activities.
Members of the CEC should anticipate dedicating about 10 hours each month to Boone County Democratic Party (KCDP) activities.
Work involves organizing and building support for the Democratic Party within the county. This includes developing and implementing voter outreach and volunteer recruitment strategies, hosting phone banks, canvassing, fundraising, organizing events, and supporting Democratic candidates and their campaigns.
Attend monthly meetings to assist with County Party Planning.
Serve on at least one BCDP Standing Committee.
Participate in BCDP activities and events.
Assist in recruiting qualified candidates for public office.
Help raise funds to support the BCDP
Recruit volunteers
Support Democratic candidates and their campaigns.
Canvassing and phone banking.
Appointed Leadership Roles on BCDP Standing Committees
You do not have to be a CEC member to lead or serve on Committees.
